聚丙烯酰胺為水溶性高分子聚合物，不溶于大多數有機溶劑，具有良好的絮凝性，可以降低液體之間的摩擦阻力，按離子特性可分為陰離子、陽離子、非離子、兩性型四種類型。

　　Polyacrylamide is a water soluble polymer, which is insoluble in most organic solvents, and has good flocculation ability. It can reduce the friction resistance between liquids. According to the ionic characteristics, it can be divided into four types: anionic, cationic, nonionic, and bisexual.

　　1、絮凝性，能使懸浮物質通過電中和、架橋吸附作用，起絮凝作用。

　　2、粘合性，能通過機械的、物理的、化學的作用，起粘合作用。

　　3、降阻性，能有效地降低流體的摩擦阻力，水中加入微量本產品就能降阻50—80%。

　　4、增稠性，在中性和酸條件下均有增稠作用，當PH值在10以上易水解。呈半網狀結構時，增稠將更明顯。
